David Jones

David Jones - Director

Prior to joining Harwood Hutton, David was assistant to a partner in a medium-sized accountancy firm, in London. The experience he gained in this role was tremendously wide-ranging and has proven invaluable. He was able to work on all types of projects and fully expand his skills. Having obtained this excellent grounding he decided to focus on owner-managed businesses. He hoped to bring added value to clients and particularly wanted to work in a smaller firm to enable him to have a more “hands-on” approach. To this end, David joined Harwood Hutton in 1997. Over the next 3 years he worked closely with many of the firm’s clients, and in 2000 he was appointed a partner.

David still handles a wide variety of accountancy issues, and has been particularly instrumental in obtaining finance for a number of his clients. In addition he has worked with several start-ups, helping them to grow into multi-million pound companies. One other area in which he specialises is business disposals. David finds the diversity of work at Harwood Hutton both challenging and interesting.
